Voice Dream - Read Out Aloud App Reviews

I travel for work, and use Voice Dream everyday. To have my documents read aloud while driving saves me time and allows me to catch up on my "reading". The sync to Evernote was the clincher for me, because I store hundreds of clipped PDF files in my notebooks and Voice Dream makes it possible to stay current. The reading is clear and pleasant, and I often slow the rate of words down to make sure I dont miss an important concept. Well done on this app, a must-have for someone like me who travels and still needs to go through documents. Thanks to the developers for a great product!

Love the ease of integration and use, choice of voices and speed control! Especially helpful to be able to "eye" and "ear" read simultaneously as the cursor moves across each line of text.

I have retinitis pigmentosa which makes it difficult to read text. This application is extremely simple to use and makes my life a lot simpler! I had a question about some features and develop bird got back with me the same day again very fantastic application

Im an adult with ADD, one of my college counselors suggested this app since we know I am an audio learner (not everyone is). Even though I struggled to read hard cover books on my own, I have LISTENED to 100s of audiooks, then when I got this app, I can listen to web pages, medical articles (I work in the medical field), emails, and I copy and paste in all sorts of long things I need to "read" and I listen to them in the car on the way to work or at the gym and I remember so much more than if I had tried to just read it. This app saved my college grades and helps me in my career daily. Most of the voices are super, my favorite is Brian. Changing the voices helps me not get bored with long articles... good luck!

And they do not bother users with pop ups. Saves a lot of time and effort.

I have used VD Reader for about 3 years in my professional practice. It has made reading documents SO MUCH MORE effective than before. I often train forensic accountants throughout North America and suggest to them that they acquire the tool. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to the creator of this App!!

Works great on iphone, but I do most of my reading with an ipad and "open in" from other apps to voice dream is broken. Sending from another app, or safari, straight to voice dream the UI comes up for a fraction of a second, however nothing gets saved into it. This kills the workflow that I bought it for. Hope this gets fixed so I can update my review.

It doesnt stay on the web page you want to read. A lot of time as soon as you select open in Voice dream, it opens and closes it. Also Doesnt read PDF files. Cmon guys. Get this right. Will you please?

Voice Dream is not just an app, but a necessity. It has empowered me to redeem literally hundreds of hours driving, exercising, waiting, and more to read causal and professional books, articles, and papers that I would never have the time to get to or enjoy. My time and life is greatly multiplied by Voice Dream.

Cant read my books cause it wont show and it keeps crashing

Voice Dream has been one of my most valuable and most used apps over the last year. If I am anywhere where I cannot sit and read, I use Voice Dream to read articles that I have downloaded or automatically synced through Pocket or imported from Dropbox. I use the different voices for different types of content. I use one for work documents, one for tech documents and one for news articles. It has gotten better with each update - I love this app!

This is without a doubt the best and most powerful reading app currently available. The fact that it supports audio files makes it that much better. Instead of using different apps for different reading materials, I now use VDR for pretty much all my reading needs. Not to mention that it’s completely Voiceover accessible.

This program is phenomenal! Ive been using it to listen to lots of articles that I havent gotten a chance to read yet, and PDFs that Ive been putting off getting to. Sometimes the cloud syncing between Instapaper (or between other iOS devices) can be a little wonky, but overall the program works very well. If you are looking for a high-quality text to speech reader, this program is worth every penny.

So I love audiobooks but not everything is in that format this thing is great

The Safari, Send To Voice Dream crashes. Every. Single. Time. No error. The app opens and crashes immediately. Ive uninstalled/reinstalled and it worked 5 times and now crashes. Not to mention the uninstall wiped all my articles; which isnt a detriment to my life-but still. This is my favorite app (blossom blast is a close second) and I tell everyone about it. Im sure the voice dream masters can find a solution. The contact us button in the app doesnt do anything which is why I am ranting here. Ive grown completely dependent on this app-Ive forgotten how to read! Please help! (iPhone 7 plus)

By far the best text to speech app on the iphone. Voices are excellent, interface is clean and Pocket (Read it Later) integration is very convenient.

You cannot import texts from the internet so that they can be read. From this point of view, the app is terrible.

Very good app but editing is a pain in the ass. Try to insert a coma or a dot in a 10 pages report! Euh!

Ive used this app for a long time, and always appreciated its quality: that continues with this version. Great choice of formats to read in, and great choice of voices in many languages! Keep up the good work!

We just need a way to share articles, and to sync read articles with Instapaper.
