Voice Dream - Read Out Aloud App Reviews

Ive used a few text to speech engines, and have always been underwhelmed. This app is amazing!!! I have it reading technical networking textbooks to me, and its near perfect. Works with the Bluetooth controls in my BMW, and is absolutely perfect.

Found a few bug for this new version first music cant play in background and there no shut off for voice and there others i dont know how to mention this like a beta version now it kinda worse than the free version so i waiting for u guys to correction of this version many bugs so i going to use free version until the payed version fixed

The old version works fine. The new version released early April 2006 has a little bug. To my surprise, it is fixed in just couple weeks.

I absolutely love this app, I use it for at least an hour a day. Also, I have always wanted to sync my books in between devices. In the newest update, syncing was added as a feature. It worked fine with me for a couple of days, but one evening I could not access any of my books and articles, and after trying to repair my library, ALL OF MY BOOKS WERE DELETED! This has been a devastating blow, the equivalent of burning my entire meaningful digital bookcase. I would recommend this app a thousand times over for the reasons the other reviewers mentioned, but FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS SACRED, make sure to BACK UP if you ever plan on using synchronization as a feature!

I use this app a lot! I use it to listen to documents during my commute/workout that I wouldnt normally have time to read. Gives me an edge up! Great for reviewing material before work presentations, listening to web articles, listening to Gutenberg books, and lots of other uses. It is also ideal for checking your own documents. The ear can often find errors that the eye misses. Great selection of additional voices, too, at reasonable prices. Very easy to use interface. Plays well with Safari. You can add the web page you are currently viewing to your Voice Dream library at the touch of a couple buttons and then listen to it read to you. I cant say enough good things about this app! What would I add to improve it? 1) A random voice setting that would randomly assign a voice from your pool of voices to new library items. 2) the ability to play Kindle books (I know this cannot happen due to DRM protection on Kindle books, but hey, I can dream). In summary, great app!!

Fantastic app for transferring PDFs etc into voice. Worth every penny!!! Functional and easy to use. Kudos to the developers!!!

Very functional, simple app. I use it for reading: notes, email, BOOKS❣ and studying. I am grateful for the many voices. ( I need variety. ) Thank you. This is a very functional app! Cant say enough about it.

If you are searching for a decent text to voice or text to speech app, then STOP LOOKING. This App is so far beyond "decent". Its perfect! It is so feature rich and the voices are amazing! I have tried a dozen or more text to voice apps and this one blows every single one of them out of the water, on every front! I cant think of really anything I would change, other then I would love an automatic sync with a specified "tag" in Evernote so my library stays updated.

I axis the iPhone with the VoiceOver screen reader and Im glad that this app is available. I can comfortably listen to articles and other documents using the James speech synthesizer. I especially enjoy using the app with the new user interface and with the new share extension for Safari browser. Keep up the good work! @TheBlindMan12v

I love Voice Dream and all of the available voices. I love James a United States voice. Lots of different options of loading content. Also so many great voices to choose from. I have trouble remembering and reading the same time so this is great for me especially when driving. You can even upload webpages to be read to you in the high-quality voices.
