Excellent

An excellent product. Does a great job reading for me so that i do not have to. If this product had a reverb addon, it would truly make this DreamVoice even more dreamier

Berbat

Ben beğenmedim, keşke bir demosu olsaydı almazdım hiç, google translate kopyala, okut aynısı, robotik ses yani... Üstelik bu fiyata kısacası aldığım en kötü uygulama parama acıdım. I didnt like it, i wish try the demo version and probobly i didnt buy. App is copy of google translate, copy paste and push the speaker icon; same robotic sound. Expensive and bad application.

1 star for bad quality voices

They include only bad quality voices with the purchase forcing you to spend at least 5€ (20€ total) for an already expensive app. Darmowe są tylko złej jakości głosy czyli wydasz na ta apkę co najmniej 20€.

Great app!

I use every day and have listened a lot of books while driving my car. Very useful!

differently

periodic freezes list

Very easy to use and works well on both iPad and iPhone

Very pleased with this app because it is easy to use and works basically the same on my iPhone. Works great for long drives and during walks.

Best reading app!!

Excellent VoiceOver compatibility, direct access to bookshare.org, high-quality downloadable voices, and so much more – absolutely the best reading app out there.

Excellent app

Not only is this app a wonderful tool for reading, the developer is very responsive and cares a lot about the quality of his app. I would highly recommend this app, especially when reading Bookshare and other similar types of content.

Clearly the best text to speech app on the App Store

Loving the easy to use and easier to listen to voices for text to speech. I like tech articles and have been super happy with the easy to use pronunciation tweaks for acronyms. Must buy if you love to listen to audio books, where some readers do not have a proper emphasis. This app puts those readers to shame.

A real App Store gem! *MUST HAVE APP!*

This is a fantastic app and was VASTLY underpriced when I paid $9.99 for v2.x back in the beginning of 2013! Since then it has received SEVERAL great updates adding a ridiculous amount of new features!!! Makes all other TTS apps obsolete. Even though they are YEARS ahead of their competitors Voice Dream continues to innovate and improve upon what is already an App Store gem! I believe @$14.99 this app is STILL underpriced! click BUY now before they realize they could easily be charging $19.99 for this!!! Thank you so much for continuing to support and update this app! keep up the great work and the 5 star reviews will continue to add up telling the story of what a great app youve created!

Perfect.

Ive been using this app for YEARS to listen to Fan Fiction as an audiobook while in the car or doing regular tasks, and the experience keeps getting better and better. I rarely even rate apps, but Ive never used an app for so long and so consistently that its a central part of my life, until this one. It is the only app I never go more than a day or two without opening, if not spending several hours using it to read. The cloud sync and rich text additions have also made this the central hub for all of my favorite stories, and the primary app that I use to read everything that isnt a Kindle textbook. If youre still on the fence about whether this is worth it, it is. Even the voices are great! Ive never heard better TTS voices than the ones available in this app. I have gotten used to some really terrible voices in other apps, but TTS can be a really cinematic experience with great-quality voices like the ones offered in this app. And as another bonus, if you have issues or suggestions, the developer actually answers emails, which is fairly rare I feel like. Buy it. You wont regret it.

Essential

Make any book an audiobook. The voices offered are superior to Apples stock offerings. Development has been constant for years, without confusing overhauls. One of my most reliable apps.

What makes it worth the price.

Latest comment: Im using this app every single day since I bought it! New comment to iOS 10: Im really happy that we could finally use Siri voices in Voice Dream! Thanks for the enhancement!!! My first review is below: I really love listening to eBooks with the Apples built-in "Speak Screen" + iBooks or Kindle. When I saw Voice Dream, I wondered why people would rather pay for an app which seems to have the same function as the free alternative. After reading many extremely positive and genuine comments, I decided to give it a try. Listening to eBooks is a daily routine for me, any improvement would be highly useful. Im happy to say that this is one of the best purchases Ive made and I will rate it as 5 stars and an essential app. A comparison of "Speak Screen + iBooks/Kindle" (SS+i/K) vs "Voice Dream" (VD). VD: Flawless continuous playing of the text-to-audio. SS+iBooks: Stop playing whenever a photo is on top of a page. SS+Kindle: Stop playing whenever you turn off the screen, or switch to another app. VD: The playback can be paused by remote control button on headset, or a simple double-finger tap on screen. SS: Can be paused with two one-finger taps. Cannot be paused by headset. Full of bugs if you pressed the remote control button on headset by accident, sometimes required a soft reset to fix the problem. VD: Just point to any sentence, and it starts reading that particular section. SS+iBooks: Very difficult to select a paragraph and read that part out. SS+Kindle: Cant select a part to read it out at all. VD: Easily see the remaining reading time required for the book, the remaining time changes when you change the reading speed. SS+i/K: They show nothing about the remaining hours at all, I feel like I was wandering in a jungle. VD: Highlight the sentence and word in different colours. SS+iBooks: Highlight a particular word only. SS+Kindle: Highlight the whole page... it looks weird. VD: I downloaded the Grahams and Kates voice (UK), wow, it was much better than the built-in voices of iOS. SS: Even the iOS Siri Male or Alex couldnt match anything remotely similar to the Graham voice. VD: Its very easy to configure Voice Dream to lock the language preference and force it to read in one single language. SS: The iOS built-in "Speak Screen" cant distinguish the difference of Asian languages very well, sometimes I listen to eBooks in Chinese and it started reading it in the Japanese or Korean way, which renders the whole passage unintelligible at all. This is the single most annoying bug Ive encountered using the built-in iOS dictation. Voice Dream fixes it. VD: Another function which I also used daily. It can speed up a podcast! I use RSSRadio to download a local audio news summary, it was ~ 12 minutes. The RSSRadio lets you play the audio at X2 speed, but it was still too slow for me. I could open the podcast in Voice Dream and use it to tune up the speed to X4! Others thought it was not possible to understand, but I know I can still understand it perfectly. Voice Dream can also double as an audiobook player. Just zip all MP3 files, and it will read out like Audible! Since I purchased this app, I havent found a day without opening it! A note to Mr Chen who wrote this wonderful app. Im very happy about my purchase, but the decision process was quite long for me as it was expensive (when compared to other apps on iPhone AppStore). It was well worth the money for me because it does everything not only better , but _*perfectly*_. However, it was difficult to recommend this app to my friends. Sometimes I had to lend them my iPhone to try it out for a few minutes, but I dont think they could enjoy the benefits of it with such a short time (while I was standing next to them as well). It would be better if you could bring back the Lite or Trial version, just let people use it to listen to eBooks for 100 minutes for free, Im sure that many people would be happy to pay for your app once they have more time to immerse into the experience.

Law students best friend

Great for briefs, downloaded Westlaw and Lexisnexis cases, outlines, practice essays, multis, reviews of written work prior to submission or pleadings. Scan and OCR anything youd like it to read! I listen while getting ready for class, in the car to class, prior to class under headphones.

Best app Ive EVER downloaded

First off, Id recommend getting Hughs voice, its the best in my opinion. Second, this app is the most productive and useful app Ive ever used. I can "read" so much more than time would regularly allot me. It substantially increases the amount I am able to learn (I use it for study purposes) without requiring me to create time in my schedule to do so. If you want to increase your productivity as far as learning goes, download the app. Its more than worth the money. Third, becoming familiar with Regex (or Regular Expressions) will increase what you get out VoiceDream Reader 10 fold. Youll have to watch some YouTube videos on how it works, but its worth the time investment. Gives you a lot more control over how youd like your specific text read. And to the developer, thank you for this amazing application; it has increased how much I am able to learn and that is invaluable to me. Im extremely thankful for your work. Thank you.

Love this app

Best app I can find for text to speech

I am eternally grateful for this app

I highly recommend this. I am in graduate school and it allows me to read articles while in the car and long after my eyes are too tired to read. Thank you! dpm

Amazing

I use this everyday. Brilliant app!

Voice Dream Reader

As a writer and avid reader, I use VDR every day. Best app out there.

The best!!!

Voice dream works perfectly with Bookshare as well as many other sources, including your own typed essays. Also great for foreign languages. You can change font color, size and style, voices, speed etc. Very versatile, easy to use, and useful! Highly recommend for visually impaired or dyslexic!
